Omri Gandelman

Omri Gandelman is an Israeli defender born in Hod Hasharon on 16 May 2000. He developed in Israel, with youth spells at Maccabi Petah Tikva and Hapoel Ra’anana, before joining SV Wehen Wiesbaden in Germany at 17. Gandelman later returned home, completed his schooling and military service, and continued his football development. In 2018, he joined Maccabi Netanya, progressed into the senior side and was used as a defensive player. He remained with Netanya until 2023 and helped the club win the 2022–23 Toto Cup. Gandelman moved to Gent in August 2023, where his versatility allowed him to contribute in more advanced midfield areas while retaining defensive responsibilities. He joined Lecce in January 2026 and has also been involved with Israel’s national setup.
