Oleksandr Filippov
Oleksandr Filippov is a Ukrainian forward born in Avdiivka on 23 October 1992. He began his professional career with Arsenal Kyiv before joining Desna Chernihiv in 2016, where his finishing helped the club win promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League in 2017/18. In 2019/20, Filippov scored 16 league goals, finished second in the UPL scoring charts, helped Desna qualify for Europe, and earned selection to the league’s Best XI. His form took him to Belgian club Sint-Truiden in 2020, followed by a loan spell with Riga in Latvia. Returning to Ukraine, he played for Dnipro-1 and later Oleksandriya, scoring nine and ten league goals respectively in the cited seasons. Filippov joined Polessya in 2025 and remains part of the club’s attacking options.
