Olivier da Costa Custodio

Olivier da Costa Custodio is a Swiss midfielder who developed in the Vaud region, playing for Montreux-Sports and FC Yvorne before joining Team Vaud, Lausanne-Sport’s academy. He made his professional debut for Lausanne-Sport in 2013 and became a regular as the club won the 2015–16 Challenge League title and promotion. In 2017, Custodio moved to FC Luzern, strengthening his experience in Swiss top-flight football. He transferred to FC Lugano in 2019 and established himself in midfield, making 93 appearances for the club. Custodio scored in Lugano’s 4–1 Swiss Cup final victory over St. Gallen on 15 May 2022, helping them win the trophy. He returned to Lausanne-Sport on a free transfer later that year. At Lausanne, Custodio provides defensive cover and progressive passing from midfield while offering positional flexibility.
