Odhran Casey
Odhran Casey is a Northern Irish defender who developed at Cliftonville FC after joining its academy at 12. He represented Northern Ireland at schoolboy and under-21 level and helped Cliftonville win the Harry Cavan Youth Cup. Casey made his senior debut in January 2019, coming on against Glenavon aged 16, then joined Newry City AFC on loan for the second half of 2021–22, contributing to its Championship-winning campaign. Back at Cliftonville, he became an established centre-back after also developing through defensive midfield. He moved to Shelbourne in January 2026 for a new chapter in the League of Ireland Premier Division. In the 2024 Irish Cup final, a broken leg ended Casey’s appearance before Cliftonville went on to lift the trophy, while his proactive defending and passing remain central to his profile.
