Ousseynou Ba

Ousseynou Ba is a Senegalese defender, born in Dakar on 11 November 1995, who stands 1.92 metres tall. He developed with the SMASH academy before moving to France in 2016 to join Amiens, although a work-permit problem kept him out of competitive football for a year. Ba resumed his progression with Gazélec Ajaccio, making his professional breakthrough in Ligue 2 in June 2017. His performances in Corsica earned him a move to Olympiakos Piraeus in January 2019. Initially a reserve centre-back, he entered the starting side after injuries affected senior defenders and established himself during the 2019–20 campaign. With Olympiakos, Ba won three successive Greek Super League titles and a Greek Cup. He later joined İstanbul Başakşehir and was called into the Senegal squad in 2020, making his international debut against Morocco.
