Nicolas Wimmer
Nicolas Wimmer is an Austrian defender who developed through DSG Union Pichling, LASK and SV Ried. He began his senior career with ASKÖ Donau Linz in 2012, playing in Austria’s fourth tier before moving to Vorwärts Steyr in 2016. At Steyr, initially on loan, he contributed to the club’s promotion to the 2. Liga. Wimmer made his professional debut on 27 July 2018 against former youth club SV Ried. In February 2021, he joined Blau-Weiß Linz and helped the team win the 2. Liga title, earning selection in the competition’s Team of the Season. That achievement led to a June 2021 move to Austria Klagenfurt, where he spent three seasons in the Austrian Bundesliga. Wimmer then joined Wolfsberger AC on a free transfer in mid-2024, continuing his career as a central defender.
