Nectarios Triantis

Nectarios Triantis is an Australian defender born in Sydney on 11 May 2003. He developed through Sydney Olympic, Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers before joining Central Coast Mariners in July 2022. Initially a winger, Triantis was converted to central defence under Nick Montgomery. In the 2022–23 season, he established himself as a regular, making 26 appearances as the Mariners won the A-League Men Championship, and he was selected on the PFA A-League Team of the Season bench. Sunderland signed Triantis in June 2023, and he later moved to Hibernian on loan in February 2024, where he also operated in defensive midfield and won Young Player of the Year. He joined Minnesota United in August 2025. Triantis represented Australia at under-20 and under-23 level before switching to Greece and making his senior debut in a World Cup qualifier against Belarus in November 2025.
