Niklas Steffen

Niklas Steffen is a Swiss footballer from Solothurn, born on 19 January 2001; his registered position is not specified. He began his development at FC Solothurn in 2006 and spent a decade there before joining FC Basel’s academy in 2016. At Basel, Steffen signed his first professional contract in 2017 and represented the club’s under-21 side. He also represented Switzerland at under-15, under-16, under-17 and under-18 levels. In April 2021, he moved to Stade Lausanne-Ouchy, making 21 league appearances across two seasons. Steffen then joined FC Rapperswil-Jona for 2023–24, playing 33 matches, before signing for FC Thun on 12 June 2024. With Thun, he contributed to the 2024–25 Swiss Challenge League title campaign as the club secured promotion to the top flight.
