Niklas Stark
Niklas Stark is a German midfielder born in Neustadt an der Aisch on 14 April 1995. He developed at 1. FC Nürnberg, progressing through the academy before making his senior debut in 2013. Initially used in midfield and defence, Stark’s versatility became a defining feature of his early career. After Nürnberg’s relegation, he joined Hertha BSC in 2015 and spent seven seasons in Berlin, establishing himself in the Bundesliga. In 2022, Stark moved to Werder Bremen as a free agent, continuing his top-flight career and taking on responsibilities in the back line. Internationally, he represented Germany at youth level, winning the 2014 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Stark made his senior Germany debut in November 2019, adding international experience to a career shaped by positional flexibility and defensive work.
