Jonatan Noah Kemeseng Sonko-Sundberg

Jonatan Noah Kemeseng Sonko-Sundberg is a Gambian defender born in Stockholm, Sweden, on 6 June 1996. He developed in the Enskede IK and AIK Solna youth systems, joining AIK in 2010 and making his competitive Allsvenskan debut in 2014. Sonko-Sundberg also gained senior experience during loan spells with GIF Sundsvall in 2016 and 2017. He later established himself at Östersunds FK, where he played from 2018 to 2021 before moving to Levski Sofia in January 2022. With Levski, he won the Bulgarian Cup in 2022, then transferred to Ludogorets in 2023. Born and raised in Sweden, Sonko-Sundberg chose to represent The Gambia internationally and was included in the country’s squads for the 2021 and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. He is currently listed with Göztepe, adding a 1.87-metre central defensive presence to his club career.
