Nicolò Savona
Nicolò Savona is an Italian defender, born in Aosta on 19 March 2003. He began at Aygreville before joining Juventus at eight, travelling regularly from Aosta to Turin for training. Savona progressed through Juventus’s youth system, spending the 2020–21 season with SPAL’s Primavera side before returning to Turin. He signed his first professional contract with Juventus in December 2021. Savona then moved into the Juventus Next Gen pathway, making his professional debut in November 2022 and helping the team reach the Serie C playoffs in 2023–24. His senior Juventus debut came against Como on 19 August 2024, and he scored on his first Serie A start against Hellas Verona one week later. At 1.92 metres, he can operate at right-back or centre-back, combining aerial presence with secure short passing. He is listed in the current squad of Ashington AFC.
