Nikolas Sattlberger

Nikolas Sattlberger is an Austrian midfielder who developed in Vienna. He joined Rapid Vienna’s academy in January 2018 and progressed through its U18 and Rapid II sides. His senior breakthrough came in summer 2022, when he debuted in a UEFA Europa Conference League qualifier against Lechia Gdańsk before making his first Austrian Bundesliga start against Ried. During 2023–24, Sattlberger became a regular for Rapid, playing 30 league matches and more than 2,400 minutes. On 5 August 2024, he moved to Belgian club Genk, continuing his development in the Belgian Pro League and UEFA Europa League. Primarily a defensive midfielder, Sattlberger can also operate centrally and has covered at centre-back when required. At 189cm, he combines physical reach with composed passing to link defence and attack. He has represented Austria from under-15 through under-21 level and is part of the Austria U21 setup.
