Nicolas Saint-Ruf

Nicolas Saint-Ruf is a French-born defender, born in Rouen on 24 October 1992 and listed with Guadeloupean nationality. He developed at CMS Oissel before joining the RC Lens academy, then moved to Montpellier in December 2013. After beginning with Montpellier’s reserve side, Saint-Ruf joined Orléans on loan and helped the club win promotion to Ligue 2 in 2016. He subsequently made seven Ligue 1 appearances for Montpellier during the first half of 2016–17 before moving to Bastia. Later spells included Nancy and a loan at Bourg-en-Bresse 01, adding experience across France’s professional divisions. Saint-Ruf returned to Orléans in 2019 and recorded 122 appearances and 13 goals over five seasons. He rejoined Nancy in July 2024 and was called up by Guadeloupe in 2022, continuing his career as a central defender with the versatility to play in defensive midfield.
