Nikolas Panagiotou
Nikolas Panagiotou is a Cypriot centre-back who plays for Omonia Nicosia. Born in Nicosia on 12 May 2000, he came through Anorthosis Famagusta’s academy and reached its first team in April 2019. He moved to Omonia Nicosia in July 2019, beginning a longer senior career with the club. Panagiotou developed into a regular defender and was part of Omonia’s squad that won the Cypriot First Division in 2020–21. He also started from the quarter-final second leg through the final of Omonia’s 2022–23 Cypriot Cup triumph. Panagiotou made his Cyprus debut on 1 September 2021 against Malta in a World Cup qualifier. He scored Omonia’s opening goal against Manchester United in a 3–2 Europa League defeat on 6 October 2022.
