Neofytos Michael

Neofytos Michael is a Cypriot goalkeeper who developed through senior football in his native country. Born in Nicosia, he made his professional debut for Olympiakos Nicosia during the 2013–14 season before gaining experience with THOI Lakatamia. In 2017, Michael joined APOEL Nicosia and subsequently spent loan periods with Aris Limassol, PAS Giannina, Asteras Tripolis and Olympiakos Nicosia. His spell with PAS Giannina took him into Greece’s top flight, while his return to Olympiakos gave him a more regular senior role. Michael made his Cyprus debut against Belgium in November 2019, beginning his involvement at international level. He later represented Pafos, where he was involved in the club’s European campaign and its victory over Villarreal. He is also listed with Universitatea Cluj, continuing a career that has combined domestic experience with international football.
