Nayel Rayan Mehssatou Sepúlveda

Nayel Rayan Mehssatou Sepúlveda is a Chilean right-back born in Brussels on 11 April 2002. He developed at Anderlecht, spending 13 years in the club’s academy before signing his first professional contract there in December 2019. Mehssatou moved to Kortrijk on 18 January 2022 and made his senior debut against Union Saint-Gilloise on 5 March that year. At Kortrijk, he established himself as a regular starter, making more than 30 appearances in each of the 2023–24 and 2024–25 seasons. He represented Morocco and Belgium at under-15 level before joining Chile’s under-17 setup in 2019, then made his senior Chile debut against South Korea in a friendly on 6 June 2022. Standing 1.73 metres tall, Mehssatou can also operate in midfield, contributing to build-up play from wide defensive areas.
