Nicola Leali

Nicola Leali is an Italian goalkeeper born in Castiglione delle Stiviere on 17 February 1993. He developed at Brescia and made his Serie A debut against Cesena in May 2011, before Juventus signed him in 2012. Although Leali did not make a competitive appearance for Juventus, he gained senior experience through loans at Virtus Lanciano, Spezia, Cesena and Frosinone. His career then took him abroad to Olympiakos Piraeus, where he won the Greek Super League title, and to Belgium with Zulte Waregem. After leaving Juventus in 2018, he continued his progression with Perugia and spent four seasons at Ascoli, becoming a consistent second-tier goalkeeper. Leali returned to Serie A with Genoa in 2023, and recorded 10 clean sheets in 29 appearances during 2024–25. Now listed with Hellas Verona, Leali brings a tall frame and reflex-based shot-stopping to his goalkeeping work, reflecting a career that has progressed from teenage prospect to experienced professional.
