Nicolai Oppen Larsen

Nicolai Oppen Larsen is a Danish goalkeeper born in Herlev on 9 March 1991. He developed at Herlev IF and Lyngby BK before joining AaB, where he progressed from apprentice to first-choice goalkeeper during the early 2010s. At Aalborg, Larsen helped the club win the Danish Superliga and Danish Cup double in 2013–14, and his performances earned him the Danish Goalkeeper of the Year award in 2014. He also received a senior Denmark call-up that year, although he did not leave the bench. After a long spell with AaB, he moved to FC Nordsjælland in 2017 and later featured in European qualifying, including a penalty save against AIK. Larsen transferred to French club Guingamp in 2020 before returning to Denmark with Silkeborg in 2021. He is now registered with Vejle, continuing a career built on shot-stopping, penalty moments and distribution from the back.
