Nicholas Ioannou

Nicholas Ioannou is a Cypriot defender born in Limassol on 10 November 1995. He developed at Manchester United, joining the academy as a child and spending eight years in the club’s system before leaving in 2014 without a senior contract. Ioannou returned home to join APOEL Nicosia, where he won five consecutive national league titles and a Cyprus Cup while gaining experience in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League. He later moved to Nottingham Forest in 2020, followed by a loan at Aris Thessaloniki. Como then became an important stage in his career, with Ioannou establishing himself in Italy and later signing permanently for the club. In August 2024, he joined Sampdoria on loan before returning to Cyprus with Pafos. Primarily a left-sided defender, Nicholas Ioannou has also operated centrally or further forward on the flank.
