Nathan Lee William Harriel

Nathan Lee William Harriel is an American defender born in Oldsmar, Florida, on April 23, 2001. He developed in Florida before joining the Philadelphia Union Academy in 2018. Harriel progressed through the Union’s reserve setup before signing professionally with Philadelphia Union in 2021. He made his first-team debut that September as a right back, stepping in during a period of international absences. Harriel also started the Union’s Eastern Conference final that season, and his ability to cover centrally has added versatility to the back line. He represented the United States at under-18, under-19, under-20 and under-23 levels, appeared three times at the Paris 2024 Olympics, and reached the quarterfinals. In 2025, Harriel earned his first senior cap and was part of Philadelphia’s Supporters’ Shield-winning squad.
