Niklas Bernd Dorsch

Niklas Bernd Dorsch is a German midfielder born in Lichtenfels on 15 January 1998. He developed at 1. FC Baiersdorf and 1. FC Nürnberg before joining Bayern München, where he progressed through the academy and captained the reserve side. Dorsch made his Bundesliga debut for Bayern in April 2018, starting and scoring in a 4–1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. He then moved to 1. FC Heidenheim, establishing himself in midfield before joining Gent in 2020 and gaining European experience. His Belgian season was followed by a major international achievement, as he helped Germany win the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Dorsch returned to the Bundesliga with FC Augsburg in 2021, where his role combined deep distribution with tackling and defensive coverage despite interruptions to his progress.
