Nelson Alexander Deossa Suárez

Nelson Alexander Deossa Suárez is a Colombian midfielder born in Marmato on 6 February 2000. Before entering professional football, he reportedly worked with his father in the local mines until the age of 19, while football remained an outlet and ambition. He began his senior path with Atlético Huila, making his debut in Colombia’s second division in 2021 before moving into the top flight. Loans to Estudiantes, Junior and Atlético Nacional followed, and Deossa established himself at Nacional during the 2023 season. Pachuca then signed him permanently in late 2023, and he helped the Mexican club win the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup. After a spell with Monterrey, Deossa joined Real Betis in August 2025. At 1.85 metres, Deossa operates centrally as a box-to-box or deep-lying midfielder, combining physical duels, direct dribbling and powerful left-footed shooting.
