Nathaniel Edwin Clyne

Nathaniel Edwin Clyne is an English right-back born in Stockwell on 5 April 1991. He developed through Tottenham Hotspur’s youth setup, Afewee Academy and Crystal Palace, making his senior debut for Palace in October 2008. During the 2010–11 season, Clyne became the youngest player in the Football League to play every minute of a campaign. He joined Southampton in 2012 and established himself in the Premier League through energetic overlapping, tackling and defensive work. In 2015, Clyne moved to Liverpool, where he was heavily used during his first season and featured in squads that reached the 2016 Europa League and League Cup finals. He also represented England at Euro 2016. After returning to Crystal Palace in 2020, Clyne continued to provide experience at right-back and also operated as a half-right centre-back in a back three.
