Nika Chagunava

Nika Chagunava is a Georgian defender who developed through the Tbilisi football system. He began his senior career with Merani Tbilisi, gaining regular experience in the Erovnuli Liga 2 during 2021 and 2022. Chagunava then moved to WIT Georgia in 2023, continuing his progress in the same division and contributing a goal and two assists across 25 matches. In early 2024, he joined Spaeri, where he became an important part of the club’s promotion campaign. During the 2025 Liga 2 season, Chagunava played close to 2,000 minutes and recorded one goal and one assist. His performances also took him into the UEFA Conference League qualifiers against Austria Wien in July 2025. At Spaeri, Chagunava is listed as a defender and has developed into a dependable contributor on the flank.
