Nicolai Cebotari

Nicolai Cebotari is a Moldovan goalkeeper born in Chişinău on 24 May 1997. He developed through Moldova’s football system before gaining senior experience with Sfîntul Gheorghe and later Petrocub. Cebotari also spent an early period with Sheriff Tiraspol, where competition for regular selection shaped the next stage of his career. After moving to Zimbru Chișinău, he established a steadier role and became a regular presence for the capital club. His performances there led to a return to Sheriff Tiraspol, bringing him back to one of Moldova’s leading sides. Cebotari has also progressed through Moldova’s youth teams and made his senior international debut against the Cayman Islands in March 2024, keeping a clean sheet during his appearance.
