Nicolás Capaldo Taboas

Nicolás Capaldo Taboas is an Argentine central midfielder born in Santa Rosa on 14 September 1998. He developed at Deportivo Mac Allister before joining the Boca Juniors academy in 2015. Capaldo made his senior debut for Boca Juniors in February 2019 and established himself through energetic midfield work. He helped the Buenos Aires club win the 2019–20 Superliga and the 2020 Copa Diego Maradona. In June 2021, he transferred to Red Bull Salzburg, where his pressing, running and positional flexibility suited the club’s demanding style. During four seasons in Austria, Capaldo added two Austrian Bundesliga titles and a domestic double to his honours. He joined Hamburger SV in July 2025 and continues to offer central-midfield drive, defensive coverage and forward runs, while also possessing the versatility to operate in deeper or wider roles.
