Noel Caliskan
Noel Caliskan is a German central midfielder born in Cologne on 29 August 2000. He developed in the 1. FC Köln academy from 2012 to 2017 before spending two seasons with Fortuna Düsseldorf. In 2019, Caliskan moved to the United States to attend Loyola Marymount University, where he played four collegiate seasons. He was named WCC Freshman of the Year in 2019, WCC Player of the Year in 2020, and WCC Offensive Player of the Year in 2021, while becoming a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist. In 2022, he earned his second successive WCC Midfielder of the Year award. The Portland Timbers selected him 15th overall in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft, and he began his professional career with Portland Timbers 2 before signing an MLS contract. Caliskan later joined Real Salt Lake, continuing his progression in Major League Soccer.
