Nishan Connell Burkart
Nishan Connell Burkart is a Swiss forward, born in Aarau on 31 January 2000. He developed at FC Zürich before joining Manchester United’s academy in 2016. Burkart played for United’s under-18 and under-23 sides, but left in 2019 without a senior appearance. He then moved to SC Freiburg, featuring for the reserve team and scoring 16 goals in the 2020–21 Regionalliga Südwest season. Burkart made his Bundesliga debut for Freiburg in April 2021 as a substitute against Borussia Mönchengladbach. After returning to Switzerland in 2022 on loan, he completed a permanent move to FC Winterthur in June 2023. At Winterthur, Burkart has been used across the attack, including in wide roles, and recorded eight goals in 36 league appearances during 2023–24.
