Nicușor Silviu Bancu
Nicușor Silviu Bancu is a Romanian left-back born on 18 September 1992 in Crâmpoia. He developed through the ranks of FC Olt Slatina before joining Universitatea Craiova in 2014, making the move into top-flight football. Initially used on the left wing, Bancu later established himself as a full-back while retaining an attacking approach to the position. In October 2014, he suffered a broken tibia in a Romanian Cup match, but returned the following season and continued his career with Craiova. He has since become a long-serving figure at the club, helping Universitatea Craiova win the 2017–18 and 2020–21 Romanian Cups and the 2021 Romanian Super Cup. Bancu has also represented Romania, including at UEFA Euro 2024 and in Nations League campaigns. He combines defensive duties with overlapping runs and deliveries from the left.
