Nadiem Amiri

Nadiem Amiri is a German attacking midfielder born in Ludwigshafen am Rhein on 27 October 1996. He developed through Ludwigshafener SC, 1. FC Kaiserslautern and SV Waldhof Mannheim before joining the 1899 Hoffenheim academy in 2012. With Hoffenheim, Amiri won the 2013–14 Under-19 Bundesliga and scored twice in the final, then made his Bundesliga debut in February 2015. He established himself in Hoffenheim’s first team before moving to Bayer Leverkusen in July 2019. At Leverkusen, he operated in advanced midfield, while a loan spell at Genoa followed in 2022. Amiri returned to Germany with Mainz in January 2024, where his passing and ability to connect defence with attack added variety to midfield. He represented Germany at youth level, helped the Under-21 side win the 2017 European Championship and made his senior debut in 2019.
