Felipe Rodrigues da Silva

Morato, whose full name is Felipe Rodrigues da Silva, is a Brazilian defender born in Francisco Morato on 30 June 2001. He developed in the São Paulo academy before moving to Benfica in September 2019. At Benfica, Morato initially joined the club’s B team and made his professional debut that month. He later progressed into the first-team setup, gaining experience in central defence and also covering left-back when squad injuries required it. His performances in Portugal helped establish him as a versatile defensive option. Nottingham Forest signed Morato in August 2024, adding a 1.92-metre defender to their squad after his development at Benfica. His career so far combines Brazilian academy training with experience in Portuguese and English football, while his ability to operate centrally or on the left has shaped his role.
