Jon Moncayola Tollar

Jon Moncayola Tollar is a Spanish central midfielder from Garinoain who has spent his senior career with Osasuna. He joined the club’s academy at age 10 and began his progression with farm side Iruña in the 2017–18 Tercera División season. After moving to Osasuna B, Moncayola reached the first team and made his La Liga debut on 17 August 2019 in a 1–0 victory over Leganés. He became involved with Spain’s under-21 side by 2021, although a positive COVID-19 test ruled him out of the European Championship knockout stages. Moncayola then represented Spain at the Tokyo Olympics, appearing in four matches as the team won silver. In June 2021, he extended his Osasuna commitment with a 10-year contract running to 2031. Primarily a central midfielder, he has also covered defensive midfield, the right flank and right-back.
