Mikel Oyarzabal Ugarte

Mikel Oyarzabal Ugarte is a Spanish forward who operates primarily from the left wing for Real Sociedad. Born in Eibar in 1997, he began playing at SD Eibar before joining Real Sociedad’s youth academy in 2011. Oyarzabal made his senior debut for the club’s reserve side in 2014 and reached La Liga in October 2015, appearing as a late substitute against Levante. He established himself as a regular starter in 2016 and scored the decisive header in a 1–0 home victory over Barcelona that April. Since then, Oyarzabal has remained with Real Sociedad, developing from a conventional winger into a versatile attacker who can move inside, link play and lead the line. He scored the winning penalty in the 2020 Copa del Rey final, played in 2021, helping end the club’s 34-year wait for a major trophy. For Spain, Oyarzabal sealed Euro 2024 by scoring the late winner against England in the final, adding an international highlight to his influential club career.
