Miguel Ángel Rubio Lestan

Miguel Ángel Rubio Lestan is a Spanish centre-back from Leganés, standing 1.91 metres tall. He developed at Getafe, where he began senior football with the club’s reserves in 2017 before making his La Liga debut in 2018. Rubio then gained experience with Fuenlabrada and Valladolid B before joining Burgos for the 2021–22 season. At Burgos, he developed into a more established defender and contributed at both ends of the pitch. In 2022, he moved to Granada CF and helped the club win promotion to La Liga during the 2022–23 campaign. His game combines strong aerial work and positional defending with composed distribution from the back. Miguel Rubio joined Espanyol in 2025, continuing his career in Spain’s top flight.
