Miguel Román González

Miguel Román is a Spanish central midfielder born in Vigo on 26 December 2002. He developed in Galicia before joining Pontevedra CF in 2021, initially for the reserve side. His pre-season performances quickly earned him first-team integration, and he became a regular during the 2021–22 campaign, making 28 appearances and scoring once as Pontevedra secured promotion to the Primera Federación. In July 2023, Román moved to Celta Vigo and continued his development with Celta Fortuna. He made his senior Celta debut on 30 October 2024, starting in a 5–1 Copa del Rey win over UD San Pedro. Román later made his La Liga debut on 31 August 2025, starting in Celta’s 1–1 draw with Villarreal. At 1.78 metres, he operates centrally, contributing to build-up play through accurate passing while also providing defensive coverage.
