Miguel Gutiérrez Ortega

Miguel Gutiérrez Ortega is a Spanish left-back from Madrid, known for his left foot and technical approach. He began playing with ADYC Pinto in 2005 before joining Getafe, where he spent five years. Real Madrid recruited him in 2011, and he progressed through La Fábrica while advancing quickly through the youth teams. Gutiérrez made his senior debut for Real Madrid against Cádiz in April 2021. With opportunities limited, he moved to Girona in August 2022 and developed into an attack-minded defender in Míchel’s system. During Girona’s outstanding 2023–24 campaign, Miguel Gutiérrez contributed to the team’s build-up and scored in a 4–2 victory over Barcelona. He has also represented Spain at under-23 level and is listed with Bayer Leverkusen.
