Mauro Daniel Rodrigues Teixeira

Mauro Rodrigues is a Guinea-Bissau international midfielder born in Funchal on 15 April 2001. He began his youth development at FC Leukerbad before joining FC Sion’s academy in 2015. At Sion, he progressed from the under-18s to Sion II and made his senior debut against Servette in March 2021 after signing his first professional contract. In June 2022, Rodrigues moved to Yverdon Sport on loan, gaining regular first-team football during the club’s rise through Swiss football. Yverdon made the move permanent in 2023, and he later passed 100 appearances for the club. Rodrigues has also represented Guinea-Bissau, including at the Africa Cup of Nations. He subsequently joined Botev Plovdiv, adding another chapter to a career shaped by development in Switzerland and movement across leagues.
