Mauro Jaqueson Júnior Ferreira dos Santos

Mauro Júnior is a Brazilian left-back, born Mauro Jaqueson Júnior Ferreira dos Santos in Palmital on 6 May 1999. He developed at Desportivo Brasil, where he was initially shaped as a technical midfielder and also represented Brazil at youth level. PSV Eindhoven tracked him through training camps before signing him in 2017. He began his professional development with Jong PSV, then made his PSV first-team debut later that year. In 2019–20, PSV loaned Mauro Júnior to Heracles Almelo, giving him further senior experience in the Netherlands. After returning to Eindhoven, he increasingly moved from attacking midfield and wide roles into left-back, while retaining the ability to contribute in deeper build-up and cover other positions. At PSV, Mauro Júnior has continued to combine close control, accurate passing and disciplined positioning, establishing himself as a versatile defensive option.
