Mathias Pereira Lage

Mathias Pereira Lage is a Portuguese midfielder born in Clermont-Ferrand, France, on 30 November 1996. He developed at Clermont Foot, joining the academy in 2005 before making his senior debut in Ligue 2 in 2016. During his Clermont spell, Pereira Lage established himself as a versatile wide player and contributed goals while gaining more than 100 appearances. In 2019, he moved to Angers, stepping up to Ligue 1 and continuing to operate across attacking midfield and wing positions. He joined Stade Brestois 29 in 2022 and formed part of the side that finished third in Ligue 1 in 2023–24, earning Champions League qualification. Pereira Lage also represented Portugal at under-21 level. In July 2025, he transferred to FC St. Pauli, bringing experience from French football to the German club’s midfield and attacking options.
