Mateu Jaume Morey Bauzà

Mateu Morey is a Spanish right-back born in Petra on 2 March 2000. He developed with UE Petra and CE Manacor before joining RCD Mallorca’s academy, then moved to Barcelona’s La Masia in 2015. At Barcelona, Morey helped win the 2017–18 UEFA Youth League while representing Spain at youth level. He won the 2017 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and finished runner-up at that year’s Under-17 World Cup. After declining a renewal at Barcelona, he joined Borussia Dortmund as a free agent in 2019 and made his senior debut against SC Paderborn in May 2020. Morey later made his Champions League debut against Club Brugge, but a serious knee injury in the 2021 DFB-Pokal semi-final caused an extended absence. He returned against Freiburg in February 2024 after 1,015 days away and joined Mallorca that July, continuing his career at home.
