Mario Pasalic

Mario Pašalić is a Croatian midfielder born in Mainz, Germany, on 9 February 1995. He developed at GOŠK Kaštel Gomilica before joining Hajduk Split’s academy and making his senior debut in 2013. After establishing himself at Hajduk, Pašalić joined Chelsea in 2014 but did not make a senior appearance for the English club. Chelsea loaned him to Elche, Monaco, AC Milan and Spartak Moscow, giving him experience in Spain, France, Italy and Russia. At AC Milan, he scored the winning penalty in the 2016 Supercoppa Italiana against Juventus. Pašalić moved to Atalanta on loan in 2018, and the transfer became permanent in 2020. In Bergamo, he developed into a versatile midfielder valued for late runs into the area, quick passing and positional flexibility, while also contributing to Croatia’s national team.
