Mario Gila Fuentes

Mario Gila is a Spanish defender born in Barcelona on 29 August 2000. He developed in Catalonia with Santa Perpètua, Sabadell, Mollet, CF Damm and Espanyol before joining Real Madrid’s academy in 2018. Gila progressed to Real Madrid Castilla, where he became a regular and vice-captain under Raúl, making 73 appearances and scoring five goals between 2019 and 2022. He made his Real Madrid first-team debut on 30 April 2022 in a 4–0 victory over Espanyol and was part of the squad that won La Liga and the Champions League that season. In July 2022, he moved to Lazio, initially adapting to Serie A under Maurizio Sarri. Gila gained a larger role in 2023–24, including a Champions League debut against Celtic, and continued to establish himself in central defence. He is listed with AC Milan, while his career also includes Real Madrid and Lazio.
