Manuel Morlanes Ariño

Manu Morlanes is a Spanish central midfielder born in Zaragoza on 12 January 1999. He began in Real Zaragoza’s youth system before joining Villarreal’s academy in 2012. Morlanes progressed to Villarreal C during the 2015–16 season and then to the club’s B team a year later. He made his senior debut for Villarreal in the Europa League against Maccabi Tel Aviv in December 2017, before appearing in La Liga against Real Sociedad in August 2018. In 2020–21, he moved to Almería on loan, and later spent the 2021–22 season with Espanyol. Mallorca initially signed Morlanes on loan in January 2023 and completed a permanent move that June. At Mallorca, he operates centrally, helping circulate possession and provide defensive cover.
