Mārtiņš Ķigurs
Mārtiņš Ķigurs is a Latvian attacking midfielder who plays for Rīgas FS (RFS) and represents Latvia internationally. He developed in the youth system of FHK Liepājas Metalurgs before continuing through FK Liepāja’s second team. Ķigurs made his senior breakthrough with FK Liepāja in 2017 and spent seven seasons with the club, becoming an established creative presence in Latvian football. During that period, he helped FK Liepāja win the Latvian Cup in 2017 and 2020. In January 2024, Ķigurs moved to RFS, where his duties have included operating between midfield and attack while also contributing to build-up play. He was part of RFS’s 2024 Virslīga title-winning and Latvian Cup-winning campaigns. At international level, Ķigurs made his Latvia debut in a 2019 UEFA European Championship qualifier against North Macedonia and has featured in Nations League and World Cup qualifying matches.
