Marek Zsigmund
Marek Zsigmund is a Slovak midfielder born on 20 April 1997 in Ružomberok. He developed with his hometown club, Ružomberok, progressing from the reserve side into the senior team and becoming a regular in the Slovak top flight between 2018 and 2023. Zsigmund also represented Slovakia at under-16 level during his early development. In July 2024, he moved to FK Košice after more than five years in Ružomberok’s senior setup. Primarily a central midfielder, Marek Zsigmund can also operate in a deeper defensive role or farther forward, combining ball-winning with short passing and disciplined positioning. At Košice, he has gained domestic-cup and UEFA Conference League qualifying experience while contributing to midfield coverage, circulation and tempo control.
