Mattia Zanotti

Mattia Zanotti is an Italian defender who operates primarily as a right-back. Born in 2003, he developed with Virtus Feralpi Lonato and Brescia before joining Inter’s academy in 2017. He progressed through Inter’s youth system and helped the Under-19 side win the Campionato Primavera 1 title in 2021–22. Zanotti made his Serie A debut for Inter against Cagliari on 12 December 2021, coming on late at San Siro. Seeking regular senior football, he moved to Switzerland, joining FC St. Gallen on loan for the 2023–24 season. There, Zanotti became a regular starter and recorded 34 league appearances, three goals and five assists. He subsequently joined FC Lugano permanently and has continued developing as a versatile wing-back, contributing width and crosses while also taking on demanding defensive work.
