Matthéo Xantippe

Matthéo Xantippe is a French defender, born in Amiens on 11 April 2002. He began at Amiens SC before developing with US Camon, then returned to Amiens’ academy in 2014. Xantippe made his senior debut for Amiens in July 2021 and recorded 45 appearances for the club across two seasons. In June 2023, he moved to Grenoble, where he has continued his professional development in Ligue 2. Primarily a left-back, Xantippe can also provide cover at centre-back, giving Grenoble an additional defensive option. His game combines left-sided distribution and crossing with tackling, recovery work and aerial ability, while his 1.83-metre frame supports his work in defensive duels. He represented France at under-18 level, and Grenoble extended his contract through June 2027 in July 2025.
