Max James Watters

Max James Watters is an English forward born in London in 1999. He developed in non-league football with Barking and Ashford United before Doncaster Rovers gave him his first professional contract in 2018. Doncaster sent Watters on loan to Grantham Town, Gainsborough Trinity and Maidstone United, providing experience before his breakthrough elsewhere. After leaving Doncaster, he joined Crawley Town in 2020 and scored 16 goals in 19 appearances, including a hat-trick against Barrow. Cardiff City then signed Max Watters in January 2021, while a loan spell at Milton Keynes Dons produced seven goals in 14 games. He later joined Barnsley, initially on loan and then permanently, and helped the club reach the League One promotion play-offs. Watters is now listed with Port Vale, offering a 1.88-metre presence as a forward who can hold up play, run into channels and finish chances in the penalty area.
