Miguel Ângelo Leonardo Vítor
Miguel Ângelo Leonardo Vítor is a defender from Torres Vedras, Portugal, who developed at SCU Torreense before joining Benfica’s youth system in 2000. He reached Benfica’s senior squad in 2007 and made an early Champions League qualifying appearance against Copenhagen. Vítor later spent time on loan at C.D. Aves and Leicester City, where he scored headed goals against Barnsley and Scunthorpe. After returning to Benfica, he moved to PAOK in 2013 and became a regular in Greece across three seasons. In 2016, Vítor joined Hapoel Beer Sheva, helping the club win consecutive Israeli Premier League titles in 2016–17 and 2017–18. He also contributed to State Cup victories in 2020, 2022 and 2025 and was named Israel’s Footballer of the Year in 2017. After gaining Israeli citizenship in 2022, Vítor made his Israel debut that June and featured in the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.
