Mario Stroeykens

Mario Stroeykens is a Belgian midfielder developed at Anderlecht’s Neerpede academy. He began at Toekomst Relegem before joining Anderlecht at eight, and signed his first professional contract at 15. Stroeykens made his senior debut for Anderlecht in January 2021 under Vincent Kompany. He later moved between the first team and RSCA Futures, Anderlecht’s under-23 side, while building regular playing experience. He scored his first professional goal against KV Mechelen on 9 October 2022. In 2023–24, Stroeykens established himself as a regular starter, appearing in 40 matches across competitions and recording six goals and six assists. He can operate as an attacking, central or wide midfielder, contributing through combinations, progressive passing and movement between the lines, while continuing to develop his defensive work.
